The Guidance Center

The University provides guidance and counseling services through the Guidance Center.

The Center aims to help students acquire the values and skills (Perecias y Valias) necessary to make the right choices, plans, and decisions.

The guidance program is not the sole responsibility of the guidance counselor but is a concerted undertaking of all academic and non-academic personnel organizing their knowledge and resources to create a better world for the student and others.

    The guidance services are as follows:

Office of Student Affairs

The Office of Student Affairs shall be generally responsible and accountable for the proper operation of units in charge of student personnel services, student organizations, athletics, physical education and other extra-curricular activities.

Specifically, the Office renders the following services:

1. supervises over the activities of the UL Supreme Student Council and the other Student Councils of the different colleges, as well as the organized Interest Clubs of the departments.

2. coordinates with other college activities directed towards student welfare.

3. provides a program of student support through recruitment, admission, social and cultural development.

Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar takes charge in keeping all student academic records, including a record of each student’s school or college affiliation and declared major. It is also responsible for the registration and enrolment process, and for such matters as reporting of grades, issuing of transcripts, compiling enrolment statistics, processing of various student petitions, certifying completion of requirements for graduation, announcing graduation lists and ordering diplomas, and preparing and reporting grade point averages to CHED/DECS.

The University Library

The University Library is considered to be the heart of the University. It is the center of academic activity and a cultural repository. It is housed in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the New Building. The UL Library is considered to be the best not only in Pangasinan but the whole of Region 1. It is manned by highly qualified personnel with the Chief Librarian at the helm.

The Library is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday) and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Saturday). It is also open during Sundays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM to cater to the needs of students in the Graduate School.

Audiovisual Center

To complement the traditional classrom discussion, the Audiovisual Cener was put into place to meet the learning needs of students, the instructional needs of faculty members and related needs of other sectors of the UL Academic Community.

The Audiovisual Center is located in the 3rd floor of the New Building — an integral component of the UL Library. The AVC is a manifestation of our continuing commitment to providing quality education.

Office of Alumni Relations

This Office is responsible for designing and developing programs which involve alumni individuals and groups in a continuing relationship with the University.

It encourages the graduates of the University to renew and develop friendships through class reunions and local social gatherings, and gives opportunity to develop new programs for young alumni. It also prepares and implements an effective and efficient Visitor’s Bureau that will take care of all official visitors and guests who desire to have information about University of Luzon.

The University Health Services Center

Medical and dental services are administered by the UL Health Services Center headed by Dr. Renan Aquino, a member of the UL Board of Trustees.

Cases that require intensive medical attention are referred to the Luzon Medical Center for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Students, employees and faculty members have discount benefits from the Luzon Medical Center.

Campus Ministry Center

The moral/spiritual development program is handled by the Campus Ministry Center headed by the Campus Ministry Director.

Eucharistic celebrations, retreats, recollections, prayer meetings, catechetical classes and other spiritual activities are regularly being undertaken in collaboration with Parish of St. John the Evangelist.

The University Post Office

The UL Post Office offers the following postal products and services:

a. Domestic Mail Services. (Ordinary Mail, Special Mail, Registered Mail, Express Mail, Registered Mail, Express Mail, Fax Mail, Domestic Parcel, Collect-on-Delivery, Business Reply (BRS), Post Office Box, Insured Mail, Postgram)

b. International Mail Services. (Ordinary or Surface Mail, Airmail, Registered Mail, Express Mail, Surface Airlifted, Insured Parcel, Advice of Delivery).

It is located at the main entrance of the University.
